Tri-Parish Youth events for November
Dear Youth in Christ,
Our hearts are filled with gratitude at the blessings that surround us every day as we approach the month of November.  You are invited to celebrate the blessings we have been given through growing in your own faith and responding in this invitation through the act of giving, giving of your time, giving of yourself, and giving to others.  Please join us as come together to plan and deliver Thanksgiving baskets, appreciate, and enjoy each other at our own Thanksgiving feast, celebrate the Holy Spirit through Confirmation classes, learn about God through our mission fundraising, and challenge each other to grow in faith at our Jr. High Prayer night.  Each of these moments of intentional discipleship change who we are and help us move forward as young people filled with blessing and hope.
We begin our month with an hour of Adoration at 10:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church on Nov. 4th.  I am inviting all youth to attend this sacred hour with Christ.  It’s a great way to slow down and be still so God can speak to you!
On Nov. 7th the High School youth are invited to St. Mary’s Church at 7:00 p.m. to plan for Thanksgiving basket delivery and the annual Thanksgiving feast.
On Nov. 9th the High School “Encounter” group will meet at St. Mary’s Church to learn about our authority and power through Christ in the Holy Spirit!  We will begin with food at 7:00, our session will go from 7:30 to 9:00.  All High School who attended the Stanley retreat and those interested in growing in the Holy Spirit are encouraged to attend.
On Nov. 14th the High School youth will meet at St. Mary’s Church at 5:30 to organize Thanksgiving baskets. Please remember to bring your assigned items.  We will begin delivery around 6:00 p.m. Adult drivers are needed for this event.
Our annual Thanksgiving feast will take place at the CEC on Nov. 16th, all High School youth are asked to remember to bring their assigned items and be at the CEC at 5:15 p.m. to help set up.  The Jr. High are asked to attend at 6:00 p.m.  Our feast is a special night of friendship filled with thankfulness.  I love our time together as a young Church family alive in faith!
On Nov. 21st our Jesus and Coffee group will meet at the Habit at 3:30 p.m.
We will not have youth group on Nov. 23rd. I pray everyone enjoys their time with family and friends on Thanksgiving and remembers the abundance that our God so graciously gives each and every day!
On Nov. 28th I want to meet with the Jamaica team to discuss our poinsettia fundraiser for December.   We will meet at the Habit at 7:00 p.m.  Coffee will be provided.
On Nov. 30th our Jr. High youth will meet at the OMG for our Jr. High Faith Night.  We will begin at 6:30 with food, followed by our session.
The grace and abundance our God gives us every day is a gift of His love.  This month we are asked to be intentional about seeing this grace and being thankful for each and every moment.  I stand in great appreciation for each and every one of you.  You are a blessing to me and for that I am very thankful!
With a thankful heart,
Debbie
