17 turn out for PHS girls basketball
Prairie has 17 players turned out for high school girls basketball this season.

Returning starters are seniors Kristin Wemhoff and Tara Schlader. Also returning from last year’s varsity team are senior Riley Enneking, junior Alli Geis and sophomore Lexi Schumacher.
New to the varsity team this year are freshmen Hailey Hanson and Kylie Schumacher and swing players, sophomore Kaylie Lockett and freshmen Sydney Shears and Sage Elven.
Making up the JV team are juniors Elizabeth Severns and Sarah Lustig, sophomores Lockett, Kadence Kalmbach, Ellie Nuxoll and Aubree Rehder and freshmen Shears, Elven, Avery Riener and Callie Remacle.
Lori Mader returns for her 13th season as head coach and welcomes new assistant coach Daphne Hanson.
Lapwai will again be the team to beat in the White Pine League and coach Mader expects Genesee to be a contender along with possibly Potlatch and Kamiah.
This year two teams will advance out of District to the State Tournament.
