Patriot teams split at Nezperce
The St. John Bosco boys won a league game at Nezperce 68-41 while the girls lost their game 23-35 Tuesday, Dec. 13.
Boys at Nezperce
The boys team jumped out to a 13-7 lead by the end of the first quarter and led 36-19 at the half.
Each team scored 13 in the third quarter then the Patriots pulled away in the fourth by outscoring the Nighthawks 19-9.
Cody Wassmuth led the Patriots in scoring with 22 points and Clay Weckman almost matched him with 21 points. They both came up big as the Patriots pulled away in the fourth quarter.
Also in double figures was Levi Wassmuth with 10 points. While Luke Stubbers, Stallone Hoene and Torry Chmelik each scored 4 and Matthew Warren scored 3.
The Patriots improved to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in league play.
The JV boys also won by a score of 24-15.

Girls at Nezperce
The Lady Patriots fell behind 3-10 by the end of the first quarter at Nezperce and 7-15 at the half.
They outscored Nezperce 14-12 in the third quarter to make it 21-27 after 3 quarters but could score only 2 points in the fourth.
Julia Wassmuth led the scoring with 11 points with Sarah Waters scoring 6. Serinah Palmer, Maleah Cummings and Noelle Chmelik each scored 2.
The Patriots drop to 1-5 on the season and 0-2 in league play.
