To the Library and Beyond
Libraries build and support communities of lifelong learners and help people enjoy the social and economic benefits that learning brings.  Prairie Community Library is moving out and into storage for what we can only hope will be but a few months.
On Tuesday, October 31 we celebrate All Hallows’ Eve, one of our country’s favorite holidays.
November 1 is National Family Literacy Day and National Authors Day which seems like a great start to National Life Writing Month and National Novel Writing Month.  So get out your pens or computers and begin that great novel that everyone has at least one of.
November is Native American Heritage Month.  We regret that our Library is unable to contribute this year to Picture Book Month, National Family Literacy Month or National Scholarship Month.
On 4 November we celebrate Book Lovers Day giving us a perfect excuse to express our love of books and flaunt our enjoyment of books.
Among the basic functions of a library we should find the dissemination of information and the promotion of culture and education.
All the volunteers at Prairie Community Library wish to extend a huge THANK YOU to all of you who have contributed in any way to making your Library the community center that is has become.
