New book is released Before It was Craigmont, The Story of Ilo and Vollmer, Idaho, recently has been released by the Ilo-Vollmer Historical Society in Craigmont. The book was started to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the marriage of the towns of Ilo and Vollmer to form Craigmont.  The extensive amount of newspaper articles and historic photographs has resulted in the history being divided into several volumes. The completed Volume 1 covers the earliest days up to 1907 in 267 pages.  Copies of the book are available at the IVHS meeting room in Craigmont City Hall on Wednesdays.   The book along with other publications of IVHS will be sold at the annual Christmas in the Pines event in Winchester Nov. 4.  The price is $20.
