30th year for Just for the Hill of It Syringa Hospice involves a core interdisciplinary team of professionals and volunteers who provide medical, psychological, and spiritual support to the terminally ill and their families. Hospice seeks to enhance the dying person’s quality of life and to provide support for family and other caregivers. Hospice focuses on the hope that every day will be the best it can be, for the patient and his or her caregivers. Hospice’s mission is to provide quality Hospice/palliative care to all persons, their families and those affected by death and dying in our community and surrounding areas. Syringa Hospice is the only Hospice program that serves communities from Winchester to Harpster, Kamiah to Riggins, including Nez Perce, Cottonwood and Grangeville areas. Syringa Hospital & Clinics Hospice does not deny services to anyone because of a lack of resources. While many of our services are covered by Medicare and Medicaid, additional support is needed for people living in our communities who do not qualify for Medicare or Medicaid or have any other insurance. This year, a 30 Year Commemorative T-shirt is available for purchase for community members as part of this year’s event. Bike riders will receive the rider only t-shirt as was done in the past, with the option to buy the commemorative t-shirt. The community is also asked to wear their 30 Year Commemorative T-shirt on May 30, 2025 to bring awareness of the Syringa Hospice Program.
