Position Available:
Director of Plant Operations
Basic Purpose: The primary responsibility of the Director of Plant
Operations is to supervise maintenance staff and work performed to maintain
the hospital and clinic physical plant building systems, building envelops
and grounds. Also has primary responsibility for the supervision of maintenance
staff and work to maintain the hospital and clinic mechanical, electrical
and plumbing systems are in reliable energy efficient operation and good
repair. The Director of Plant Operations should ensure the buildings and
grounds physical appearance is maintained at the highest degree of quality
possible.
FLSA Status: Exempt (salaried – not eligible for overtime) based on
40 hours per week
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, minimum of an Associate's
degree (AA) or equivalent from two year college or technical school required.
Prefer related trade school or military training. 10 years’ experience
in building trades or five years’ experience with an Associate’s degree
in building technology is desired.
Minimum Work Experience: A minimum of five years’ Facility Plant experience
in a hospital facilities maintenance setting or equivalent preferred. Experience
with operating under Life Safety Code and OSHA regulations and have knowledge
of regulatory agency (NFPA, CMS) and environment of care standards as set
by The Joint Commission of Healthcare Organizations required.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Idaho Journeyman Electrician’s License
required. Master Electrician’s License preferred
