To the Library and Beyond
We hope everyone had much to enjoy and celebrate over the holidays. Your librarians enjoyed the holiday time off and thank you for adjusting your library visitations accordingly. We are now back to our regular schedule of Tuesday & Thursdays 10-5:30 pm and Saturdays 10-3 pm. Remember Story Hour for preschoolers and up in age runs Tuesdays from 10-11 am. Participants need not be library patrons for this.
Kathleen Steinke has retired as librarian and author of this column. We hope she will make a guest appearance from time to time. We heartily thank her for nine years of dedicated service. Her many skillful contributions will be greatly missed.
We welcome submissions of your reviews of recently read library books. These short reviews help showcase the breadth of the library’s holdings. We welcome youth as well as adult readers to give us your thoughts. Drop them off at the library or email your informal review to us at cottonwoodlib@gmail.com.
Free ukulele sessions resume at the library Thursday January 8th at 4-5:30 pm. Interested in a fun low-cost activity in the new year? Consider checking this group out. Usually loaner instruments are available for beginning participants. The friendly group is comprised of folks of varying skill levels.
Enjoy these warmer winter days by venturing to downtown and the library to find some good winter reads or movies. Haven’t been to the library recently, or ever? We’re always happy to give you a tour. Or just stop by to say hello. And if doing stairs to access us at the lower level of Cottonwood Community Hall is not your thing, walk or wheel the ramp at the back of the building to get to us. Questions? Email or call 208 962-3714. Thanks for reading this column and do pass it on to others that may be interested.
