Prairie Area Crop Cereal School set for Jan. 20
Prairie Area Crop Cereal School hosted by University of Idaho Extension, Idaho Barley Commission, and Idaho Wheat Commission will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 20 with registration at 7:45 at the Greencreek Community Hall.
All farmers and ranchers, agri-support personnel, and other interested persons are welcome to attend the hosted breakfast and tour to learn about prairie area agriculture and conservation.
The Prairie Area Cereal School is planned for Tuesday, January 20, 2026. The event will take place at the Greencreek Community Hall. Agenda items include variety testing results, oilseed variety development, weed management, Idaho Barley Commission and Idaho Wheat Commission updates, grain market updates, and soil liming research updates. Lunch is sponsored by Idaho Barley Commission and Idaho Wheat Commission.
Doors open at 7:45 a.m. and the event will conclude after lunch.
The program is free to attend thanks to our many sponsors. However, we ask that participants pre-register by January 15 by calling the Lewis County Extension Office at 208-937-2311 or emailing lewis@uidaho.edu.
