Beef Schools set for Lewiston and Cottonwood
The UI Extension 2025 Beef Schools are set
to take place in Lewiston on Jan. 15 & 21 and in Cottonwood on
January 14 & 22. The Lewiston location will be 2100 Tammany Creek Rd. The Cottonwood location will be at Cottonwood Community Hall, 506 King St. All sessions start at 5:30 p.m. Events are free and a dinner is provided. Week 1 topics are: Bull breeding soundness exams by Meranda Small, UI Extension Understanding and utilizing EPDs by Benton Glaze, UI Extension Replacement heifer evaluation and advantages of estrus synchronization by John Hall, UI Extension Week 2 topic is: Calving management from parturition through early calfhood by Lauren Christensen, DVM, U of I.
