Boys District Tournaments start next week
The boys District Basketball Tournaments will get underway next week.
Prairie
Prairie will play their first game on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. at the higher seeded team’s gym.
At this writing Prairie still has 1 league games to play and are currently sitting in a tie for fifth with Potlatch. If they win Friday, they would be the #5 seed and likely play at Lapwai. If they lose they would be the #4 seed and likely play at Kendrick.
Kamiah gets a first round bye while #2 seed Logos would host #7 Troy. The #4 vs. #5 winner will play Kamiah on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 5 p.m. The #4 vs. #5 loser gets a second round bye and won’t play again until Monday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m.
The #3 vs. #6 winner will play the Logos-Troy winner at 7 p.m. on Saturday. The losers will play at 3 p.m. on Saturday. The District Championship game will be Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 7:30 p.m.
There are two loser out games on Monday with those survivors meeting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. That game’s winner will play the District Championship game loser at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27. That winner will advance to a play-in game at McCall on March 1 at 3 p.m. Mountain Time.
St. John Bosco
St. John Bosco will get to host their District play-in game on Thursday, Feb. 20 against Highland as Bosco is the #6 seed and Highland is #7.
That winner will advance to another loser-out game on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. at the higher seed.  They would play at the  #3 seed which is currently Deary, but that could change. The #4 and #5 seeds would also play at the #4 seed’s gym.
The double elimination portion of the bracket starts Monday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. at Lapwai with #1 seeded C.V. playing the lowest remaining seed. The #2 seed, currently Nezperce, would play the other play-in survivor.
Monday’s winners will play Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 7:30 with the winner advancing to state. Monday’s losers would play at 6 p.m. Tuesday. That winner would play the championship game loser at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 for second place. The winner of that game will advance to a state play-in game at Post Falls on March 1.
