Girls team places first at Small School Invite
The Prairie track team opened their season Saturday, March 14 at the Small School Invite at Kamiah. Kennedy Riener, Sage Elven, Sydney Shears and Nate Forsmann each won 2 events at the meet. Riener won 100 in 13.61 and the 200 in 28.64. Elven won the discus at 117’4” and the shot put at 35’0”. Shears won the 400 in 1:06.21 and the 800 in 2:42.12. She also placed 2nd in the 200 in 29.87. Forsmann won the shot put at 40’0” and the discus at 130’8”. Also winning events are Blake Uhlenkott in the pole vault at 7’6” and Avery Riener in the triple jump at 30’8½”. The girls 4x100 relay team of McKenzie Hope, Aubree Geis, Avery Riener and Kennedy Riener took first place in 55.26. The girls 4x200 team of Molly Fowler, Uhlenkott, Callie Remacle and Beka Shears took first place in 2:06.13. The girls medley relay team of Hope, Avery Riener, Tori Shears and Aubree Riener took first place in 2:08.73. Other girls results: Remacle took second in the 100 hurdles in 19.88 and 2nd in the high jump at 4’8”. Geis was 2nd in the 400 in 1:09.41 and 3rd in the 200 in 30.00. Aubree Riener was 2nd in the 800 in 2:58.10, 2nd in the triple jump at 29’2” and 4th in the 100 hurdles in 20.46. Alli Rambo was 2nd in the pole vault at 6’0”. Lillian Rehder was 3rd in the 100 in 14.54, 3rd in the 400 in 1:12.17 and 4th in the 200 in 30.79. Tori Shears was 4th in the 100 in 14.68 and 6th in the 100 hurdles in 22.50. Bekah Shears was 7th in the 100 hurdles in 22.57. Uhlenkott was 7th in the 200 in 32.19. Tinley Hibbard was 3rd in the discus at 65’1” and 4th in the shot put at 26’4”. Winnie Secrest was 4th in the discus at 63’11” and 5th in the shot put at 19’10”. Hope was 6th in the 100 in 14.74. Fowler was 11th in the 200 in 35.22. As a team the girls placed 1st with 228 points. Other boys results: Ben Secrest was 2nd in the 100 in 12.31, 2nd in the 200 in 25.54 and 2nd in the 400 in 58.04. Phineas Fitch was 3rd in the 1600 in 5:38.99 and 4th in the 800 in 2:31.13. Caden Armbrust was 3rd in the 400 in 59.32 and 9th in the 200 in 27.45. Trajan Elven was 3rd in the discus at 120’0” and 6th in the shot put at 32’6”. Matthew Jones was 4th in the 3200 in 12:38.66 and 5th in the 800 in 2:32.20. Hayden Johnson was 9th in the 100 in 13.63. Matt Frei was 9th in the discus at 77’9”. Sam Rehder was 10th in the 200 in 28.57 and 11th in the 100 in 13.75. Kade Hanson was 10th in the discus at 77’5” and 14th in the shot put at 26’3”. The boys 4x100 relay team of Rehder, Armbrust, Frei and Johnson was 2nd in 50.95. As a team the boys placed 3rd behind Grangeville and Kamiah with 87 points. St. John Bosco had 1 competitor at the meet.
