4 Local players in Senior Showcase
Three Prairie players and one from St. John Bosco participated in the District 2 Senior Showcase at Lewiston High School Friday, March 14.
Lexi Schumacher and Ellie Nuxoll from the Prairie girls team were split up and played on opposite teams. Bosco’s Julia Wassmuth wound up on the same team as Nuxoll. Schumacher’s team came from behind in the second half to win the game.
At halftime there were some competitions held and Schumacher won the 3-point shooting contest. She also received one of two scholarships awarded to girls players.
Prairie’s Briggs Rambo played in the boys game and wound up on the losing team.
Schumacher left after the girls game was over to spend the night at Coeur d’Alene where she played in the state all-star game while Prairie coach Lori Mader served as one of the coaches.

The team Briggs Rambo, third from right, played on at the Senior Showcase. They were coach by referee Pat Zink.
