Track team dominates at Kamiah
The Prairie boys and girls track teams dominated at the Small School Invitational at Kamiah on Saturday, March 16.
The girls team won the team championship with 241 points, 121 more than second place Kamiah, while the boys won with 205 points, 101 more than runner-up Kamiah.
Sage Elven broke the school record in the discus  with a toss of 134’5”, breaking the record of 129’6½” set by Jenna Goeckner in 2001 at State. Elven also won the shot put with a mark of 35’1¼”.
Sydney Shears was also won 2 individual events taking the 400 in 1:02.44 and the high jump at 4’10”.
Aubree Geis won the 800 in 2:49.50. She was also 3rd in the 200 meter dash in 29.68 and 9th in the long jump at 11’9”.
Avery Riener won the triple jump with a mark of 30’8”. She was also 5th in the 100 hurdles in 20.65.
Briggs Rambo was a double winner for the boys team winning the 110 hurdles in 19.81 and the 300 hurdles in 47.87. He was also 7th in the pole vault at 9’0” and 11th in the long jump at 15’2”.
Noah Geis won the 100 in 11.97. He was also 3rd in the 400 in 56.17.
Dylan Uhlenkott was 1st in the 200 in 24.50. He was also 2nd in the 100 in 12.13 and 6th in the long jump at 17’1”.
Freshman Payton Stamper was 1st in the long jump at 18’4” and was 5th in the 100 in12.51.
Ben Secrest won the 400 meter dash in 54.42.He was also 3rd in the 100 in 12.17.
The girls team swept all the relays. Nadia Cash, Kennedy Riener, Aubree Rehder and Avery Riener won the 4x100 in 53.84 while a second team of Harlee Brannan, Elven, Meghan Fowler and Hailey Hanson was 4th in 1:02.15. Alli Geis, Aubree Geis, Aubree Rehder and Shears took 1st in the 4x200 relay in 1:53.11.  Alli Geis, Avery Reiner, Aubree Geis and Shears took 1st in the 4x400 relay in 4:23.09. Hanson, Sierra Oliver, Aubree Rehder and Kennedy Riener won the medley relay in 2:02.92.
The boys team won 3 of the 4 relays. Logan Weber, Geis, Secrest and Stamper won the 4x100 relay in 46.78. Cole Duclos, Matt Wemhoff, Zane Uptmor and Weber won the 4x200 relay in 1:40.46. Geis, Duclos, Wemhoff and Secrest won the 4x400 in 3:43.66.
Other girls results:
Alli Geis was 2nd in the 400 in 1:06.23 and 4th in the long jump at 12’10¼”.
Callie Remacle was 2nd in the high jump at 4’8”, 3rd in the 100 hurdles in 20.04, 3rd in the long jump at 13’0” and 5th in the 1600 in 7:22.57.
Nadia Cash was 2nd in the long jump at 13’1 ¾”, 4th in the 100 in 14.20 and 5th in the 200 in 30.21.
Oliver was 2nd in the pole vault at 7’0”, 4th in the 200 in 30.09 and 6th in the 100 hurdles in 21.47.
Kennedy Riener was 3rd in the 100 in 13.90 and 4th in the 100 hurdles in 20.44.
Hanson was 2nd in the shot put at 31’2½” and 3rd in the discus at 105’1”.
Elizabeth Severns was 2nd in the discus at 123’11”, 3rd in the shot put at 29’9” and 5th in the 3200 in 16:33.58.
Evelyn Gehring was 3rd in the 800 in 2:52.19 and 5th in the 300 hurdles in 55.73.
Ella McLeod was 4th in the 3200 in 16:31.63 and 9th in the 1600 in 7:42.09.
Brannan was 6th in the discus at 84’0” and 10th in the shot put at 22’8”.
Fowler was 10th in the discus at 70’1” and 19th in the shot put at 18’9¼”.
Kyra Robertson was 21st in the discus at 47’10” and 22nd in the shot put at 15’10”.

Wemhoff was 2nd in the 200 in 24.90.
Weber was 2nd in the high jump at 5’6” and 4th in the 200 in 25.62.
Bennie Elven was 2nd in the discus at 146’6” and 4th in the shot put at 40’3”.
Trenton Lorentz was 2nd in the long jump in 18’1½”.
Landon Riener was 2nd in the 110 hurdles in 21.35 and 12th in the 800 in 2:52.93.
Lee Forsmann was 3rd in the discus at 141’0” and 7th in the shot put at 36’5”.
Zane Uptmor was 3rd in the 300 hurdles in 50.06, 3rd in the 110 hurdles in 21.54 and 6th in the discus at 120’0”.
Caden Armbrust was 5th in the 3200 in 12:25.35.
Levi Gehring was 8th in the 400 in 1:00.40 and 32nd in the 100 in 14.23.
Cole Duclos was 8th in the pole vault at 9’0”.
Nate Forsmann was 8th in the discus at 114’2” and 9th in the shot put at 34’11”.
Hayden Johnson was 11th in the 400 in 1:03.84, 17th in the 200 in 28.47, 19th in the long jump at 12’9” and 28th in the 100 in 14.03.
Ashton Martin was 13th in the 200 in 27.31, 19th in the discus in 74’6” and 20th in the shot put at 25’11”.
Peter Remacle was 14th in the discus at 83’5”, 19th in the shot put at 27’3” and 38th in the 100 in 17.15.
Gabe Decaria was 17th in the 400 in 1:11.28; 18th in the long jump at 12’11½”,  26th in the 200 in 30.38 and 31st in the 100 in 14.11.
The medley relay team of Gehring, Stamper, Duclos and Armbrust was 3rd in 4:18.73.

Sage Elven broke the school record in the girls discus at Kamiah on Saturday with a toss of 134’5” She actually had more than one throw beat the old record of 129’6½” as she was over 131 feet on the throw pictured.

Sydney Shears won the high jump with a mark of 4'10".

Freshman Payton Stamper won the long jump in his first high school competition.

Logan Weber went old school scissors jump in the high jump on this attempt. He wound up placing second in the event.

Evelyn Gehring and Aubree Geis in the 800.  Geis wound up first with Gehring third.

Alli Geis hands off to her cousin Aubree Geis in the 4x200 relay. They teamed with Aubree Rehder and Sydney Shears to win the event.

Matt Wemhoff has just received the baton from Cole Duclos in the 4x200 relay. They teamed with Zane Uptmor and Logan Weber to win the event.

Elizabeth Severns and Hailey Hanson in the discus. They finished second and third respectively as Prairie swept the top 3 spots in the event.
