6th grade boys win state Catholic School tournament Tri-Parish 6th Grade Boys team from Cottonwood traveled to Boise to play in the Idaho Catholic Schools tournament March 14-16th. They ended up playing 5 games against teams from the Boise and Twin Falls areas. They played Sacred Heart/St. Mary’s on Friday evening and won 56-12. On Saturday they played St. Mark’s 5th grade and won 56-20. That gave them a 2-0 pool play record and a bye in the championship bracket. In bracket play on Saturday they played St. Ignatius/Holy Apostles 6th grade and won 52-11. That gave them a rematch against Sacred Heart/St. Mary’s and they won the semifinal game 38-22. In the championship game on Sunday they faced off against St. Mark’s 6th grade and won 28-22. ![]() The Tri-Parish 6th Grade team ended up winning all 5 games at the Idaho Catholic School Tournament March 14-16, earning them the 1st place trophy. Sportsmanship was also looked at from a high level and brought home 3 Sportsmanship medals as well. The Tri-Parish Boys are pictured.
