RE: Recent Hit piece on Kyle Harris
Last week, many others and I in Districts 6 and 7 received a mailing informing us that “Kyle Harris voted to drain funding used by Idaho State Police [and to] assist federal immigration enforcement”.
This is because he voted for HB 482, which the House overwhelmingly passed 68-0, with 2 abstentions, and Kyle, of course, was one of those 68 House members.
This end-of-session appropriations bill (HB 482) transferred some $360,000,000. The bill does not mention the Idaho State Police anywhere, but it did cut $438,000 of funding for the Governor's “Emergency Fund,” which he line-item vetoed and which became law anyway.
Because our Governor had used that account in the past to help reimburse the ISP for expenses for the 2022 University of Idaho student murders investigation, and a bit for immigration related missions, the “Conservative Accountability Project” decided that made Kyle (Just Kyle, mind you) guilty of cutting police and immigration funds.  That is about 0.2% (1/500th) of the funds transferred in that bill that weren’t even earmarked for anything but the Governor to use at his discretion.
Every democrat in the House also voted for that bill, but only Kyle was called out for it.
Kyle has an excellent conservative voting record and is also a very savvy and hard-working representative, which we should all be very thankful for.  He reads every bill religiously.  He is better informed on legislative reality than most of the legislature.
The “Conservative Accountability Project” has black funding.  They are a 501(C)(4) organization that is not required to report where their funding comes from, nor are their activities public.  It is the perfect type of vehicle that billionaires from out of state can use to secretly affect our elections, and it’s all legal.
Maybe we should tell our legislators to plug these holes that let people from out of state secretly affect our elections and legislators?  Maybe they have not done this already because too many of our legislators are RINOS who benefit from out-of-state money.
The lies are everywhere, people. You need to do your own research.  Thanks to AI, it has never been easier to do.
See my article at the IdahoCGG.org website for more details on Kyle’s hit job and other issues.
