Elven breaks school record in shot put
Sage Elven set a new school record in the shot put at the Kendrick Invitational, held Thursday, March 26 at Lapwai. Sage Elven in the shot put at the Kendrick Invitational where she broke a 48 year old school record.
She won the shot put with a mark of 40’7” breaking the record that was set by Cindy Schultz in 1978 at the state track meet. Her record was 40’ 1½”. Elven also won the discus with a mark of 134’1½” and was second in the javelin at 97’7”.
The only other individual winner for Prairie was Aubree Geis, who won the 400 meter dash in 1:03.14.
Ben Secrest was the only individual winner on the boys team as he won the 200 meter dash in 23.68. He was also second in the 100 in 11.82 and fourth in the 400 in 57.68.
The girls won 3 of the 4 relays. McKenzie Hope, Lillian Rehder, Geis and Sydney Shears won the 4x200 in 1:51.49. Aubree Riener, Rehder, Geis and Shears won the 4x400 in 4:28.08. Hope, Rehder, Geis and Shears won the medley in 1:58.67.
Other girls results:
Sydney Shears was 2nd in the 800 in 2:27.23.
Blake Uhlenkott was 2nd in the pole vault at 8’0” and 18th in the 100 in 14.80.
Aubree Riener was 3rd in the 300 hurdles in 52.99 and 4th in the triple jump at 30’4½”.
Avery Riener was third in the triple jump at 30’5½” and 18th in the 200 in 32.07.
Kennedy Riener was 5th in the 100 in 14.01 and 5th in the 200 in 29.22.
Alli Rambo was 4th in the pole vault at 7’0”.
Callie Remacle was 7th in the 100 hurdles in 19.60, 9th in the high jump at 4’6” and 11th in the 300 hurdles in 58.65.
Tori Shears was 8th in the 100 hurdles in 19.82 and 14th in the 300 hurdles in 1:09.59.
Bekah Shears was 9th in the 300 hurdles in 56.68 and 14th in the 100 hurdles in 21.65.
Tinley Hibbard was 10th in the discus at 78’8”, 11th in the shot put at 24’8” and 19th in the javelin at 72’3”.
Winnie Secrest was 14th in the discus at 69’10½”, 23rd in the shot put at 19’11” and 27th in the javelin at 59’7”.
Molly Fowler was 49th in the 100 in 17.83.
Prairie had 2 teams in the 4x100 relay. Hope, Rehder, Avery Riener and Kennedy Riener were 3rd in 55.34 while Tori Shears, Bekah Shears, Fowler and Uhlenkott were 9th in 58.41.
As a team the girls placed 1st with 122½ points.

Nate Forsmann was second in the discus at 138’11” and third in the shot put at 40’1”.
Trajan Elven was 5th in the discus at 124’7½”, 5th in the javelin at 122’1” and 25th in the shot put at 30’7½”.
Matthew Jones was 7th in the 1600 in 5:29.53 and 15th in the 400 in 1:02.70.
Phineas Fitch was 7th in the 3200 in 12:37.99 and 9th in the 300 hurdles in 52.60.
Gabe Severns was 8th in the 800 in 2:27.41 and 11th in the discus at 108’5”.
Carson Lockart was 12th in the 400 in 1:01.66.
Anthony Forsmann was 15th in the discus at 96’10” and 21st in the shot put at 31’10”.
Hayden Johnson was 17th in the 400 in 1:02.83 and 29th in the 200 in 28.85.
Marshall Weber was 18th in the 100 in 12.48.
Kade Hanson was 19th in the discus at 92’8½” and 36th in the shot put at 26’10½”.
Matt Frei was 21st in the 200 in 27.65 and 34th in the discus at 68’10”.
Gabe DeCaria was 37th in the 200 in 29.93.
Sam Rehder was 40th in the 100 in 13.49.
Bucky Harman was 43rd in the 100 in 13.73, 45th in the discus at 57’7” and 47th in the shot put at 22’9½”.
The boys 4x400 relay team of Lockart, Rehder, Severns and Fitch finished 2nd in 4:10.53.
The 4x100 team of DeCaria Weber, Frei and Rehder finished 4th in 50.38.
The 4x200 team of DeCaria, Lockart, Rehder and Johnson was 4th in 1:49.33.
As a team the boys placed 4th with 68 points.
