Purse Auction is held
By Lorie Palmer, ICFP The Annual YWCA Purse Auction brought in a full house to the Cottonwood Community Hall Saturday, April 5. The evening included a local speaker who has used the YWCA services, dinner and live and silent auctions. A special dedication was made to the founder of the event, the late Debbie Schnider, who, along with her husband, Ron, hosted the first event almost a decade ago at their former restaurant, The Hangout. For information on YWCA programs, contact Kristy at 208-983-0888. All funds raised at the annual auction are used in Idaho and Lewis counties for those who are experiencing needs related to domestic violence. As part of her senior project, Prairie High School senior Bailey Key raised and donated $773 for the local YWCA. Idaho County Fair Royalty assisted with the YWCA Purse Auction, showcasing items for the audience to view. ![]() Bailey Key presents a check to Kristy Beckstead of the YWCA for $773.
