Lady Pirates lose at Genesee PHS SOFTBALL SCHEDULE FOR 2025 The Prairie Softball team played just 1 game this past week and lost 0-13 at Genesee on Friday, April 11. Prairie managed just 2 hits and 3 total baserunners against the defending state champions. Kaylie Lockett got the first hit with 2 outs in the top of the first but was stranded at first. In the bottom of the first Genesee put their first 5 runners on base against Lockett on 2 walks, 1 single and 2 errors. Genesee wound up scoring 4 runs. Prairie went down in order in both the second and third innings. Genesee added 2 more runs in the second inning and 2 errors and a single and 5 in the third on 4 hits, a walk and a hit batsman. In the fourth inning Avery Schacher picked up Prairie’s second hit and made it to second on an error. In the bottom of the fourth Genesee added 2 more runs on 2 singles, a walk and a hit batsman. In the top of the fifth, Grace Uhlenkott drew a walk to lead off the inning and stole second. However the next 3 hitters all struck out to end the game on the 10-run mercy rule. Lockett allowed 13 runs on 8 hits with 5 walks, 2 hit batsmen and 5 strikeouts. Prairie is now 1-4 both overall and in league play.
