3 school records broken
It took a few meets but the school records are starting to fall again for the Prairie track team. On Tuesday, April 8, they traveled to an 8-school meet at Kamiah where Dylan Uhlenkott won the 400 meter dash in a school record time of 50.05, which is nearly .4 seconds better than the school record Trenton Lorentz set last year. On Saturday, April 12 they traveled to Lapwai for the Leah Swanson Memorial/Deary Invitational Meet where 2 more school records fell. Kennedy Riener, Aubree Geis, Mia Anderson and Sydney Shears won the 4x200 meter relay in a time of 1:48.00 breaking the record of 1:48.3 set in 1985 by Lisa Schmidt, Sandra Schmidt, Shelley Wren and Veronica Riener. Also, Hailey Hanson took second in the javelin, but broke her own school record with a mark of 107’0”. That was just over 4 feet better than her mark of 102’11” she set at the Meet of Champions last spring.
Kamiah Meet
In addition to his record setting 400 win, Uhlenkott also won the 100 in11.75 and the 200 in 24.03.
Others winning events for the boys team were Phineas Fitch in the 1600 in 5:12.54 and Matt Wemhoff in the javelin at 130’5”.
Fitch was also 3rd in the 3200 in 11:14.12.
Wemhoff was also 2nd in the 100 in 11.95 and 2nd in the 400 in 53.61.
The boys team also won the 4x400 relay as Cole Duclos, Wemhoff, Ben Secrest and Uhlenkott placed first in 3:36.76.
The boys team placed 2nd to Kamiah with 179 points.
The girls team dominated at the meet rolling up 283 points to second place Kamiah’s 99.
Sage Elven won 3 individual events as she was first in the shot put at 35’1”, first in the discus at 137’7” and first in the javelin at 94’3”.
Kennedy Riener and Sydney Shears each won 2 individual events. Riener won the 100 in 13.58 and the 200 in 28.62 while Shears won the 400 in 1:01.68 and the 1600 in 5:39.57.
Callie Remacle won the high jump at 4’8” and Avery Riener won the triple jump at 31’½”.
Remacle was also 4th in the 100 hurdles in 20.02, 6th in the 300 hurdles in 1:01.86 and 8th in the long jump at 13’6”.
Avery Riener was also 5th in the long jump at 13’8”.
The girls also swept all 4 relays. Nadia Cash, Mia Anderson, Avery Riener and Kennedy Riener won the 4x100 in 53.12 while Aubree Rehder, Lillian Rehder, Reagan Brannan and McKenzie Hope were second in 56.11.
Ndia Cash, Geis, Anderson and Shears won the 4x200 relay in 1:49.63.
Lacey Schwartz, Brannan, Breanne Schwartz and Geis won the 4x400 in 4:40.25.
Aubree Rehder, Avery Riener, Kennedy Riener and Geis won the medley relay in 2:01.68.
Other boys results:
Nate Forsmann was 2nd in the discus at 123’8½” and 3rd in the shot put at 37’3”.
Briggs Rambo was 3rd in the 110 hurdles in 19.47, 3rd in the 300 hurdles in 51.64 and  5th in the pole vault at 9’0”.
Duclos was 4th in the pole vault at 9’0” and 5th in the 200 in 26.37.
Caden Armbrust was 5th in the 100 in 12.63 and 6th in the javelin at 102’6”.
Ashton Martin was 5th in the discus at 102’7½” and 11th in the 100 in 12.98.
Payton Stamper was 6th in the 100 in 12.73, 6th in the 200 in 26.61 and 6th in the long jump at 16’7½”.
Hayden Johnson was 6th in the 400 in 59.88.
Matthew Jones was 6th in the 1600 in 5:53.37 and 6th in the 3200 in 13:14.07.
Nathan Weber was 6th in the discus at 101’11”, 8th in the 100 in 12.83 and 8th in the 200 in 28.00.
Trajan Elven was 9th in the javelin at 86’4”, 11th in the discus at 86’8”, 20th in the 100 in 14.06 and 20th in the 200 in 29.87.
Kade Hanson was 10th in the 1600 in 6:39.75, 21st in the shot put at 25’1” and 21st in the discus at 58’11”.
Levi Gehring was 10th in the 100 in 12.97.
Stetson Hankins was 10th in the javelin at 85’2” and 27th in the 200 in 31.63.
Kento Morita was 13th in the javelin at 74’6”, 13th in the 400 in 1:07.95 and 21st in the 200 in 30.04.
Gabe Decaria was 15th in the 400 in 1:15.23 and 22nd in the 100 in 14.11
Onyx Lish was 15th in the discus at 81’5” and 19th in the shot put at 25’9”.
The 4x100 relay team of Gehring, Stamper, Martin and Duclos was 2nd in 48.12.
The 4x200 relay of Morita, Decaria, Lish and Johnson was 2nd in 1:57.11.
The medley relay of Martin, Weber, Gehring and Armbrust was 2nd in 4:13.49.
Other girls results:
Sierra Oliver was 2nd in the 100 hurdles in 18.03, 2nd in the pole vault at 7’6” and 3rd in the 300 hurdles in 57.23
Hailey Hanson was 2nd in the shot put at 30’6”, 2nd in the discus at 108’7½” and 3rd in the javelin at 88’2”.
Nadia Cash was 2nd in the 200 in 29.95 and 4th in the long jump at 14’4½”.
Faith Cash was 2nd in the 3200 in 14:56.39.
Anderson was 2nd in the 300 hurdles in 53.15 and 3rd in the 100 hurdles in 18.47.
Lacey Schwartz was 3rd in the 400 in 1:10.21 and 7th in the 100 in 14.72.
Ella McLeod was 3rd in the 3200 in 15:07.33.
Brannan was 4th in the 300 hurdles in 58.01 and 5th in the 100 hurdles in 20.40.
Blake Uhlenkott was 4th in the pole vault at 7’0”, 7th in the 200 at 32.34, 10th in the long jump at 12’4” and 11th in the 400 in 1:13.17.
Macie Uhlenkott was 6th in the discus at 79’2½” and 10th in the shot put at 22’11”.
Alli Rambo was 7th in the pole vault at 6’0”, 9th in the 200 in 34.34 and 12th in the 400 in 1:14.35.
Breanne Schwartz was 8th in the 400 in 1:11.62 and 11th in the 100 in 15.15.
Molly Fowler was 10th in the discus at 66’10” and 11th in the 200 in 35.89.
Carmen Ove was 12th in the 200 in 38.22, 14th in the 400 in 1:28.62 and 19th in the 100 in 16.47.
Deary Invitational
At the Leah Swanson Memorial/Deary Invite, Shears won 3 individual events in addition to anchoring the school record 4x200 team. She won the 200 in 28.39, the 800 in 2:24.03 and the 1600 in 5:52.83. Sierra Oliver clears the bar in the pole vault at Lapwai.
Dylan Uhlenkott came within a photo finish of duplicating Shears. He won the 200 in 23.46 and the 400 in 50.54. He lost in a photo finish in the 100 in 11.53 to Kendrick’s Sawyer Hewett who was clocked in the same time. Uhlenkott also teamed up with Duclos, Wemhoff and Ben Secrest to win the 4x200 relay in 1:34.22.
Armbrust was another event winner for the boys as he won the 800 in 2:18.26. He also placed 10th in the javelin at 101’4”.
The boys 4x400 relay team of Duclos, Armbrust, Secrest and Wemhoff also placed first in 3:43.67.
The medley relay team of Stamper, Martin, Gehring and Fitch placed first in 4:03.91.
As a team the boys placed first with 117 points.
Other event winners for the girls were:
Kennedy Riener in the 100 in 13.57
Anderson in the 300 hurdles in 51.42. She was also 4th in the 100 hurdles in 18.12.
Elven in the discus at 141’4”, her best mark since breaking the school record at state last year. She was also 2nd in the shot put at 38’4” and 3rd in the javelin at 105’5”. Her mark also broke the old school record.
Geis in the 400 in 1:02.99. She was also 3rd in the 200 in 29.16.
Prairie again swept the relays. The 4x100 team of Nadia Cash, Kennedy Riener, liver and Anderson won in 52.23.
The 4x400 team of Nadia Cash, Kennedy Riener, Avery Riener and Geis won in 4:30.78.
The medley team of Aubree Rehder, Lillian Rehder, McKenzie hope and Lacey Schwartz won in 2:08.09.
The girls team dominated the competition scoring 250 points while second place Potlatch had just 74.

Forsmann was 2nd in the discus at 126’10” and 14th in the shot put at 32’0”.
Wemhoff was 2nd in the javelin at 133’7” and 2nd in the 400 at 53.46.
Fitch was 3rd in the 3200 in 11:09.66 and 6th in the 1600 in 5:42.51.
Secrest was 3rd in the 200 in 24.81 and 9th in the 100 in 12.54.
Duclos was 6th in the pole vault at 9’0”.
Weber was 8th in the discus at 105’4½”, 11th in the 400 in 1:00.01 and 15th in the 200 in 26.32
Jones was 8th in the 1600 in 6:02.48 and 10th in the 3200 in 12:31.41.
Martin was 9th in the discus at 103’3¾” and 30th in the 100 in 13.33.
Hanson was 12th in the 1600 in 6:25.45, 32nd in the discus at 65’½” and 33rd in the shot put at 23’½”.
Elven was 14th in the discus at 93’3¼”, 20th in the javelin at 84’4” and 37th in the 200 in 29.50.
Stamper was 17th in the 100 in 12.99.
Johnson was 18th in the 400 in 1:01.72, 28th in the 200 in 27.88 and 35th in the 100 in 13.58.
Gehring was 24th in the 100 in 13.15.
Onyx Lish was 25th in the discus at 75’6”, 34th in the 200 in 28.86 and 40th in the shot put at 21’6”.
Morita was 25th in the 400 in 1:07.97, 33rd in the javelin at 64’2” and 41st in the 200 in 30.20.
Decaria was 28th in the r00 in 1:11.06; 43rd in the 200 in 31.76 and 51st in the 100 in 14.55.
Hankins was 57thin the 100 in 15.60.
The 4x100 team of Stamper, martin, Gehring and Duclos placed 4th in 49.66.
Other girls results:
In addition to her school record mark placing her 2nd in the javelin, Hanson was 3rd in the shot put at 30’8½” and 4th in the discus at 109’7”.
Nadia Cash was 2nd in the 100 in 13.65 and 3rd in the long jump at 14’6”.
Oliver was 2nd in the pole vault at 8’6”, 2nd in the 300 hurdles in 53.33 and 3rd in the 100 hurdles in 17.97.
Remacle was 2nd in the high jump at 4’10”, 6th in the 300 hurdles at 56.55 and 7th in the 100 hurdles in 19.54.
Avery Riener was 3rd in the triple jump at 30’5” and 12th in the 200 in 30.74.
Faith Cash was 3rd in the 3200 in 14:44.39 and 4th in the 1600 in 7:00.14.
Brannan was 3rd in the 300 hurdles in 55.99 and 13th in the 100 hurdles in 21.34.
Aubree Rehder was 4th in the 200 in 29.63 and 9th in the 100 in 14.42.
McLeod was 4th in the 3200 in 15:09.52 and 5th in the 1600 in 7:04.68.
Blake Uhlenkott was 5th in the 400 in 1:11.51, 6th in the pole vault at 6’6” and 11th in the long jump at 12’½”.
Macie Uhlenkott was 7th in the discus at 90’2” and 18th in the shot put at 21’1½”.
Breanne Schwartz was 8th in the 400 in 1:12.74, 16th in the 200 in 35.20 and 19th in the 100 in 15.22.
Lillian Rehder was 9th in 400 in 1:12.99 and 15th in the 100 in 14.77.
Fowler was 11th in the 400 in 1:19.54, 15th in the discus at 67’3” and 26th in the 200 in 35.20.
