Prairie hosts two meets The Prairie Track & Field team hosted a pair of track meets this past week. On Tuesday, April 15, they hosted the Prairie Invite and on Saturday, April 19, they hosted the White Pine League Championships for the first time ever. Prairie Invite The Prairie girls team
dominated their competition in the 11 school event scoring 268.5 points
which was over 180 more than second place Kamiah. The boys scored 133
points to place third behind Kamiah and McCall-Donnelly.Dylan Uhlenkott and Sydney Shears were both triple event winners, 2 individual and 1 relay win each while Sage Elven won 3 individual events. ![]() Uhlenkott won the 100 in 11.55 and the 200 in 23.21 and anchored the 4x200 relay to a win in 1:32.95 with teammates Cole Duclos, Matt Wemhoff and Ben Secrest. Shears won the 800 in 2:26.62, the 1600 in 5:49.32 and anchored the 4x400 relay to a win in 4:30.53 with teammates Aubree Rehder, Avery Riener and Mia Anderson. Elven won the shot put at 36’5”, the discus at 137’5” and the javelin at 98’11”. Wemhoff was the one other solo event winner for the boys with a first in the javelin at 130’10”. He was also 3rd in the 100 in 11.87. The boys 4x100 relay team of Duclos, Wemhoff, Levi Gehring and Secrest also win in a time of 47.15. Also winning events for the girls were: Kennedy Riener in the 100 in 13.57. She was also 2nd in the 200 in 27.89. Anderson in the 200 in 27.88. She was also second in the 100 in 13.64. Sierra Oliver on the pole vault at 8’6”. She was also 2nd in the 300 hurdles in 52.08 and 3rd in the 100 hurdles in 17.99. Callie Remacle was 1st in the high jump at 4’10”. She was also 4th in the 100 hurdles in 19.20, 5th in the 300 hurdles in 57.07 and 8th in the long jump at 13’9”. Geis in the 400 in 1:02.53. She was also 3rd in the 200 in 28.29 and 6th n the 100 in 14.07. The girls also won the other 3 relays. Nadia Cash, Kennedy Riener, Oliver and Anderson won the 4x100 in 51.97 with Reagan Brannan, Rehder, Blake Uhlenkott and McKenzie Hope 2nd in 56.08. Brannan, Lacey Schwartz, Alli Rambo and Blake Uhlenkott won the 4x200 in 2:02.40. Aubree Rehder, Lillian Rehder, Hope and Lacey Schwartz won the medley in 2:09.43. White Pine League Meet At the White Pine League Meet Dylan Uhlenkott and Shears were both 2-event winners. Uhlenkott won the 100 in 11.465 and the 400 in 51.46. He was 2nd in the 200 in 23.02.Shears won the 800 by coming from behind in the final meters to win in 2:22.41. She won the 1600 in 5:40.07. The only other event win for the boys was the 4x200 relay team of Duclos, Wemhoff, Secrest and Uhlenkott in 1:33.92. For the girls Elven also won the discus at 132’4”. She also took 2nd in the shot put at 39’9½” and 2nd in the javelin at 96’4½”. Blake Uhlenkott won the pole vault with a personal best mark of 8’3”. She was also 12th in the 400 in 1:15.65 and 13th in the long jump at 12’9”. The girls 4x100 relay team of Nadia Cash, Kennedy Riener, Oliver and Anderson won in 51.67. The 4x200 team of Kennedy Riener, Geis, Anderson and Shears won in 1:52.86. The 4x200 team of Brannan, Hope, Aubree Rehder and Avery Riener was 2nd in 1:57.53. The girls team placed 2nd with 206 points, just 7 behind first place Logos. The boys team placed 5th in the 88 points.
