Prairie has competed in a couple of junior high track meets in the past couple of weeks with several records broken.
On Thursday April 17 they were at the KMS Meet in Kamiah and on Thursday, April 24, Prairie hosted the Prairie MS Meet.
Records broken at the KMS meet were Anthony Forsmann who broke the Shot put record of 40’6 held by Brody Hasselstrom with a throw of 41’9”.
Marshal Weber, whobroke the 100 meter record held by Cole Martin and Payton Stamper with a time of 12.30 seconds.       
Matt Frei, Cooper Reiner, Sam Rehder, and Marshal Weber broke the  4x100 meter relay record held by Kade Quintal, Payton Stamper, Lane Mader and Ashton Martin of 53.57, setting a new time of 51.96.
 Forsmann and the 4x100 team won their events while Weber placed 2nd in the 100.
Forsmann also won the discus with a mark of 120’3”.
Another double individual event winner for the boys was Riener who took 1st in the 200 in 25.93 and 1st in the 400 in 56.84. He was also third in the 100 in 12.47.
Weber was also second in the 200 in 25.96.
The only event won by the girls team was the medley relay team of Nicole Schumacher, Leighton Uhlenkott, Tori Shears and Aubree Riener who had a time of 2:14.65.

The girls placed 4th out of 16 teams with 67 points.
At the Prairie Meet the 4x200 relay team of Matt Frei, Marshall Weber, Carson Lockart and Cooper Riener won with a time of 1:46.14 that broke the previous record of 1:48.34. held by Wyatt Ross, TJ Hibbard, Jesse Cronan, and Brody Hasselstrom.
Riener won 2 individual events as he won the 400 in 56.30 and the discus with a mark of 128’6”. He also took 2nd in the 100 in 12.50.
Weber won the 100 in 12.37 and the 200 in 25.75.
Forsmann won the shot put with a mark of 40’2” and was also 2nd in the discus at 120’3”.
For the girls team, Riener won both the 800 in 2:42.29 and the high jump at 4’4”.
Hibbard won the discus at 66’6” and was also 4th in the shot put at 28’8” and 35th in the 100 in 17.27.
Ratcliff won the triple jump with a mark of 25’7½”. She was also 9th in the 200 hurdles in 39.33 and 14th in the 75 hurdles in 15.72.
