Orofino Farmers Market to open May 7 The Orofino Farmers Market will run every Thursday from 4:30PM to 6:30PM at the Orofino City Park (101 Michigan Ave.) from May 7 through Oct 1, except no market on September 17 during Lumberjack Days. Our popular Market Parties for the 2026 season will remain in the park and extend an extra hour to maximize the food, fun, and community fellowship. Our first “Garden Market Party” will be May 21 from 4:30-7:30PM. Each month we’ll have a different theme with unique family-friendly activities, extended food cart offerings, live music, and the occasional community-wide contest all tied into the theme. We’ll also have a raffle basket at every Market Party, with different items donated from market vendors and local business. All proceeds from the raffle baskets will be donated back to non-profit organizations in the 6C and surrounding communities. New for 2026, OFM can accept Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits on select, qualified products making it easier for more families in our community to access fresh, local food at the market. Also a new highlight for 2026, Liz Samson from Mountain View Movement & Massage will offer yoga sessions throughout the season. These free short, gentle, guided breath and movement sessions will be adaptive for all bodies. Bring your favorite yoga mat, props, chair (if standing is not for you), or just wander over while you’re shopping the market and join in. We’re still looking for local musicians, volunteers, and sponsors. Vendor applications are also welcome anytime throughout the season. Contact us if you want add your talents and energy to help sustain and grow our vibrant market.
