Two more school records broken
Prairie’s track team competed at a pair of meets this past week. On Tuesday, April 28, the athletes that weren’t invited to the Meet of Champions competed at the Kendrick Meet held at Lapwai. On Thursday, April 30, the rest competed at the Meet of Champions at Lewiston High School.
Prairie had no event champions at the Kendrick Meet but had several second place finishes.
Phineas Fitch placed 2nd in the 1600 in 5:31.17, 2nd in the 300 hurdles in 53.35 and 20th in the 100 in 13.54.
Matthew Jones was 2nd in the 3200 in 12:37.59, 5th in the 1600 in 5:33.42 and 8th in the 400 in 1:02.94.
The 4x100 relay team of Sam Rehder, Fitch, Carson Lockart and Hayden Johnson placed 2nd in 51.62.
The highest finisher for the girls team was Callie Remacle in the 100 hurdles where she placed 3rd in 18.86. She was also 4th in the 300 hurdles in 56.40 and 5th in the 100 in 14.51.
Other boys results:
Rehder was 6th in the 400 in 1:01.73, 8th in the 200 in 26.64 and 15th in the 100 in 13.29.
Kade Hanson was 6th in the discus at 88’3” and 10th in the shot put at 29’1”.
Lockart was 7th in the 400 in 1:02.15 and 16th in the 100 in 13.32.
Bucky Harman was 7th in the discus at 85’6” and 16th in the shot put at 26’6”.
Gabe DeCaria was 15th in the 200 in 29.25 and 21st in the 100 in 13.57.
Johnson was 25th in the 100 in 13.82.
The boys team placed 5th with 48 points.
Other girls results:
Molly Fowler was 5th in the 400 in 1:19.11, 11th in the 200 in 33.88 and 18th in the 100 in 16.10.
Bekah Shears was 5th in the 300 hurdles in 59.75 and 6th in the 100 hurdles in 21.54.
Alli Rambo was 8th in the 200 in 31.43 and 10th in the 100 in 15.08.
As a team the girls placed 9th with 28 points.
Two more school records fell at the Meet of Champions.
Sage Elven extended her discus record to 146’8” to win that event. She was also first in the shot put at 39’10½” and second in the javelin at 109’8”.
The 4x400 team of Tori Shears, Kennedy Riener, Sydney Shears and Aubree Geis took 3rd but broke the school record with a time of 4:07.42. The broke the record of 4:11.70 set last year at the Meet of Champions by the team of Avery Riener, Mia Anderson, Geis and Sydney Shears.
Other girls results:
Geis won the 400 meter dash in 59.26.
Sydney Shears won the 1600 in 5:24.32 and was 7th in the 800 in 2:34.17.
Blake Uhlenkott was 2nd in the pole vault, by misses, at 9’0”.
Rambo was 3rd in the pole vault at 7’6”.
Kennedy Riener was 5th in the 100 in 13.05 and 6th in the 200 in 27.05.
Tinley Hibbard was 5th in the shot put at 31’4¼” and 7th in the discus at 103’10”.
Avery Riener was 8th in the triple jump at 31’6½” and 18th in the long jump at 13’7”.
Aubree Riener was 8th in the 300 hurdles in 50.30, 9th in the triple jump at 31’6” and 14th in the long jump at 14’6½”.
McKenzie Hope was 11th in the 200 in 27.80.
Winnie Secrest was 15th in the discus at 78’0”.
Remacle was 20th in the high jump at 4’4”.
The 4x100 team of Hope, Tori Shears, Lillian Rehder and Geis was 2nd in 52.74.
The medley team of Hope, Avery Riener, Rehder and Tori Shears was 2nd in 1:59.93.
The 4x200 team of Hope, Rehder, Kennedy Riener and Geis was 4th in 1:48.33.
As a team the girls placed 3rd with 106 points.
Boys results:
Nate Forsmann was 2nd in the sicus at 144’2” and 11th in the shot pout at 39’11”.
Ben Secrest was 3rd in the 200 in 22.52 and 4th in the 100 in 11:31.
Caden Armbrust was 10th in the 400 in 55.72.
Trajan Elven was 10th in the discus at 124’4” and 17th in the javelin at 106’7”.
Anthony Forsmann was 15th in the discus at 112’9”.
Gabe Severns was 21st in the discus at 100’10”.
The 4x100 team of Matt Frei, Armbrust, Marshall Weber and Secrest was 5th in 46.32.
The 4x200 team of Frei, Armbrust, Weber and Secrest was 6th in 1:37.24.
As a team the boys placed 9th with 26 points.
