Library to celebratre 40th Anniversary Prairie Community Library in Cottonwood will be hosting a 40th anniversary open house on Tuesday May 13 from 11am-3 pm at the library, 506 King Street. A special presentation, Student Voices: Prairie Poetry and Art, will be from 11-12noon. Selected students from Prairie High/Jr High will read and discuss their poetry compositions and artworks. Refreshments, tours of the library, door prizes, and more will round out the open house. This will be the first of four different themed events hosted by the library in the coming months. The library was founded by community volunteers from Cottonwood, Greencreek, Ferdinand, & Keuterville which is the library’s service area. It continues to be a fully volunteer-staffed and patron funded library, one of the very few Idaho libraries that operate without tax-based support. All are welcome to attend.
