3 records broken at Meet of Champions
There were 3 school records broken at the Meet of Champions held at the new Lewiston High School track facility Thursday, May 1. Sydney Shears was edged at the finish of the 1600 by a Logos runner but broke her own school record.
Sydney Shears lowered her own record in the 1600 with a time of 5:20.39 although she was edged out at the finish by .04 seconds. That broke her record of 5:21.95 set last year at the District Meet at Lapwai. Shears also won the 800 with a time of 2:22.10 and was 18th in the javelin at 72’1”.
The girls 4x200 team of Nadia Cash, Mia Anderson, Aubree Geis and Kennedy Riener finished first with a time of 1:47.90 breaking the record of 1:48.00 set by Anderson, Geis, Riener and Shears on April 12.
Finally the 4x400 team of Avery Riener, Anderson, Geis and Shears finished second with a time of 4:11.70 breaking the record of 4:12.25 set 11 years ago by Keely Schmidt, Mykaela McWilliams, Shayla VonBargen and Krystin Uhlenkott.
Other first place finishers were Sage Elven in the discus with a mark of 134’3” and Blake Uhlenkott with a mark of 8’0” in the pole vault.
Elven was also 2nd in the shot put at 36’7” and 4th in the javelin at 94’7½”.
Other girls results:
Sierra Oliver was 2nd in the pole vault at 8’0”, the same mark as Uhlenkott but with one more miss at an earlier height. She was also 5th in the 300 hurdles in 50.57 and 6th in the 100 hurdles in 18.66.
Anderson was 2nd in the 300 hurdles in 48.99.
Geis was 3rd in the 400 in 1:01.09.
Callie Remacle was 3rd in the high jump at 5’0”, 14th in the 100 hurdles in 18.66 and 15th in the 300 hurdles in 54.33.
Hailey Hanson was 6th in the discus at 99’6”; 6th in the javelin at 92’8” and 7th in the shot put at 31’0”.
Avery Riener was 6th in the triple jump at 32’½” and 11th in the long jump at 14’3”.
Alli Rambo was 6th in the pole vault at 6’6”.
Nadia Cash was 7th in the 100 in 13.36.
Faith Cash was 9th in the 3200 in 14:50.54 and 18th in the 1600 in 6:43.28.
Ella McLeod was 10th in the 3200 in 14:51.88.
Macie Uhlenkott was 10th in the discus at 93’7”.
McKenzie Hope was 10th in the w00 in 28.07 and 13th in the 100 in 13.77.
Kennedy Riener was 14th in the 100 in 13.81.
Aubree Rehder was 16th in the 200 in 29.34.

Reagan Brannan was 17th in the 300 hurdles in 57.58 and 19th in the 100 hurdles in 22.49.
The 4x100 relay team of Nadia Cash, Kennedy Riener, Sierra Oliver and Anderson was 3rd in 51.64.
The medley team of Aubree Rehder, Avery Riener, Hope and Lacey Schwartz was 4th in 2:05.13.
The girls team finished third behind Moscow and Logos with 132 points.

Dylan Uhlenkott was 2nd in the 200 in 22.18 and 3rd in the 100 in 11.12.
Matt Wemhoff was 7th in the 400 in 52.07.
Cole Duclos was 8th in the pole vault at 10’0”.
Briggs Rambo was 9th in the 110 hurdles in 18.47, 11th in the 300 hurdles in 46.25 and 12th in the pole vault at 9’0”.
Nate Forsmann was 11th in the discus at 107’9” and 19th in the shot put at 36’5”.
Phineas Fitch was 11th in the 3200 in 11:01.26.
Caden Armbrust was 14th in the 800 in 2:16.91.
Ben Secrest was 16th in the 400 in 56.15.
Trajan Elven was 19th in the discus at 97’7.5”.
Ashton Martin was 20th in the discus at 90’3½”.
Payton Stamper was 20th in the 200 in 25.59.
The 4x100 team of Duclos, Wemhoff, Secrest and Uhlenkott was 2nd in 44.58.
The 4x200 team of Duclos, Levi Gehring, Secrest and Wemhoff was 3rd in 1:34.81.
The 4x400 team of Duclos, Wemhoff, Secrest and Uhlenkott was 4th in 3:29.06.
The boys team finished 7th in the standings with 28 points.
