C.V. ends Lady Pirates season PHS SOFTBALL SCHEDULE FOR 2025 The Prairie Lady Pirates Softball season came to an end on Tuesday, May 6, when they lost 6-16 to Clearwater Valley in an elimination game at the District Tournament at Genesee. They also finished 1 spot short in the MaxPreps rankings of being able to advance to State that way. They were 7th in the rankings and needed to be at least 6th. Kaylie Lockett was the starting pitcher and gave up 3 runs each in the first 2 innings. Prairie got back in the game with 4 runs in the top of the third but C.V. answered right back with 4 in the bottom of the inning. Neither team scored in the fourth and Prairie added 2 in the fifth. C.V. needed 6 in the bottom of the inning to end the game on the 10-run mercy rule and that is what they did. Prairie had 9 hits in the game led by Grace Uhlenkott who had a single and a triple and an RBI. Lockett had a single and a double. Kenly Forsmann, Erica Schlader, Avery Schacher, Clarice Rehder and Zoey Behler each had a single. Halee Rowland came on to pitch in the third inning but neither she nor Lockett were able to slow down the Rams. Prairie ends their season with a record of 6-10.
