23 athletes qualify for State
Prairie had 23 athletes in 26 different events qualify for State at the Regional Track Meet held Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10 at Kamiah. Sage Elven broke her own discus record on her first throw at Regionals.
The top 5 individuals in each event and top 2 finishers in each relay qualified for state.
They also had 2 more school records broken, both by Sage Elven. Elven won the discus with a mark of 144’3” which broke the mark she set at the State Meet last Spring of 142’11”. She also finished 2nd in the javelin with a new school record of 107’2½” breaking the mark of 107’0” set by Hailey Hanson earlier this year. Elven also had a personal best in the shot put of 39’10½” to finish second. She qualified for state in all 3 events.
Prairie had a pair of multiple winners at Regionals.
Sydney Shears won both the 1600 and the 800. She won the 1600 with a time of 5:32.25 and the 800 with a time of 2:19.21.
Dylan Uhlenkott won both the 100 and the 400. He won the 100 with a time of 11.29 and the 400 with a time of 50.00, his second fastest time ever. He also placed 2nd in the 200 in 23.20.
Sierra Oliver took first place in the 100 hurdles in 16.75. She also qualified for state by finishing 2nd in the 300 hurdles in 50.37 and second in the pole vault at 8’0”.
Mia Anderson took first place in the 300 hurdles in 49.28.
Nadia Cash was first in the long jump at 15’4”. She also qualified for state by finishing 4th in the 100 in 13.54.
The boys 4x100 relay team of Cole Duclos, Matt Wemhoff, Ben Secrest and Uhlenkott took first in 44.42.
The girls medley relay team of Aubree Rehder, Avery Riener, McKenzie Hope and Shears took first in 1:54.91.
Other girls qualifying for state in individual events were:
Aubree Geis with a 2nd in the 400 in 1:01.29 and the 200 where she was 5th in 27.81.
Hailey Hanson with a 3rd in the shot put at 33’9”; a 3rd in the javelin at 103’9½” and a 4th in the discus at 110’8”.
Callie Remacle with a 3rd in the high jump at 4’10”. She also competed in the 100 hurdles where she was 8th in 18.56, the 300 hurdles where she was 10th in 54.25 and the long jump where she was 17th at 11’10”.
Blake Uhlenkott with a 3rd in the pole vault at 8’0”. She also competed in the 400 where she was 11th in 1:11.14 and the long jump where she was 12th at 13’½”.
Avery Riener with a 4th in the triple jump at 31’6”. She also competed in the long jump where she was 7th at 14’7¾”.
Alli Rambo with a 4th in the pole vault at 7’6”. She also competed in the 400 where she finished 15th in1:15.86.
Macie Uhlenkott with a 5th place in the discus after a personal best of 107’8”. She also competed in the shot put where she was 20th at 21’8½”
Other boys qualifying for state in individual events were:
Briggs Rambo with a 2nd in the 110 hurdles in 17.43. He also just missed in the pole vault where he finished 6th at 10’0” and in the 300 hurdles where he finished 7th in 45.76.
Nate Forsmann with a 3rd in the discus at 137’10”. He just missed in the shot pot where he finished 7th with a personal best mark of 40½”.
Duclos on the pole vault where he finished 4th at a school record tying 10’6”. He tied his own record set last year.
Wemhoff with a 5th in the 400 in 52.59.
Despite finishing 7th in the 1600, Phineas Fitch’s time of 4:54.44 was one of the top 8 in the state and got him in as a qualifier. He also finished 7th in the 3200 in 10:52.75.
The girls also qualified the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relays by finishing 2nd in all three events. The 4x100 team of Nadia Cash, McKenzie Hope, Oliver and Anderson took second in 52.04. The 4x200 team of Nadia Cash, Anderson, Geis and Shears took second in 1:48.44. The 4x400 team of Avery Riener, Anderson, Blake Uhlenkott and Geis took second in 4:34.14.
The boys 4x200 team of Duclos, Peyton Stamper, Wemhoff and Secrest took second to qualify for state with a time of 1:33.88.
Other girls results:
Kennedy Riener was 5th in the prelims for the 100 meter dash in 13.53, then had to bow out the rest of the meet due to a leg injury.
Faith Cash was 7thin the 3200 in 15:45.31 and 8th in the 1600 in 7:03.46.
Hope was 10th in the 100 in 13.82.

Breanne Schwartz was 12th in the 400 in 1:11.57 and 21st in the 100 in 14.54.
Lacey Schwartz was 13th in the 400 in 1:12.22, 15th in the 100 in 14.34 and 18th in the 200 in 30.91.
Ella McLeod was 14th in the 1600 in 7:36.55.
Molly Fowler was 16th in the 400 in 1:17.20, 18th in the discus at 66’1½” and 24th in the 200 in 33.26.
Lillian Rehder was 16th in the 200 in 30.60 and 22nd in the 100 in 14.56.
Aubree Rehder was 14th in the 200 in 30.32 and 24th in the 100 in 14.60.
Carmen Ove was 25th in the 200 in 33.48 and 33rd in the 100 at 15.64.
Other boys results:
Secrest was 8th in the 200 in 24.08.
Nathan Weber was 9th in the discus at 119’6”.
Caden Armbrust was 14th in the 100 in 12.16 and 23rd in the javelin at 91’5”.
Ashton Martin was 15th in the discus at 102’2” and 28th in the 100 in 12.73.
Stamper was 16th in the 100 at 12.24.
Trajan Elven was 16th in the discus at 101’2”
Matthew Jones was 16th in the 3200 in 12:38.09 and 18th in the 1600 in 5:46.87.
Kento Morita was 20th in the 400 in 1:07.89, 28th in the 200 in 29.05 and 33rd in the javelin at 71’0”.
Gabe Decaria was 21st in the 400 in 1:09.47, 30th in the 200 in  30.01 and 33rd in the 100 in 13.40.
Onyx Lish was 23rd in the discus at 87’10” and 27th in the 200 in 28.05.
Kade Hanson was 30th in the shot put at 26’7½” and 31st in the discus at 72’7½”.
The 4x400 meter relay team finished in third, one spot shy of qualifying for state. Duclos, Armbrust, Secrest and Wemhoff had a time of 3:41.93.
The medley team of Martin, Stamper, Fitch and Armbrust finished 5th in 3:58.73.
St. John Bosco’s Malachi Graham-Pile was 16th in the javelin at 102’6”; 22nd in the shot put at 31’9” and 28th in the discus at 76’3”.
Both the boys and girls teams finished in second place behind Logos. The girls has 192 points to 208 for Logos while the boys had 91 points to 258 for Logos.

Sage Elven set a new school record in the javelin and had a personal record in the shot put to qualify for state in both events.

Phineas Fitch finished 7th in the 1600 but his time was one of the top 8 in the state enabling him to qualify for state anyway.

Cole Duclos to Caden Armbrust and Ben Secrest to Matt Wemhoff in the 4x400. Prairie finished  3rd, one spot shy of qualifying for State.
