Crop and conservation tour set for June 24 Prairie Area Crop and Conservation Tour hosted by University of Idaho Extension and Lewis Soil Conservation District will be held on Tuesday, June 24th, 8:00 a.m. at the Nezperce Legion Hall. All farmers and ranchers, agri-support personnel, and other interested persons are welcome to attend the hosted breakfast and tour to learn about prairie area agriculture and conservation. The Prairie Area Crop and Conservation Tour is planned for Tuesday, June 24, 2025. The tour will begin at the Nezperce Legion Hall with a hosted breakfast, sponsored by Idaho Grain Producers Association. Participants will then visit area fields to learn about winter peas, winter wheat, herbicide and fungicide applications, soilborne wheat mosaicvirus, and bacterial blight. Speakers will include University of Idaho personnel, Lewis Soil Conservation District personnel, local farmers, and Idaho Grain Producers Association representatives. The tour will conclude by 11:30 a.m. The program is free to attend thanks to our many sponsors.
