AFD Firearms Training of Greencreek is planning a Youth Gun Club Fundraiser on Sunday, June 22.
The event will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at their Greencreek location at 318 Sonnen Rd. You can call 208-935-5734 for more information.
There will be a Gun Demo Table where you can try a variety of handguns for $5.
They will hold the drawing in their gun raffle. Tickets are $10 each and are also available at AFD Alley in Craigmont.
There will be a chili cookoff. Enter a pot of chili in the contest or buy a bowl to vote for your favorite. $10/dinner with sides.
There will also be Shooting Challenges. Try the shooting stations to see how your score compares to the youth. $5 per challenge.
This is the SJB Youth Gun Club, but it is open to all youth ages 12-18, doesn't matter what school they attend. The students have a free 2 hour training each month. Prior to joining the club they must attend a 1 day NRA Basic Pistol course. This course is scheduled for July 10^th at AFD. After the basic course they attend for free with guns, ammo, ear and eye protection all included. Instructors Jim and Amy Gorges donate their time and use of the range to keep this program totally free for the attendees. All proceeds from this event will purchase ammo for the Youth Gun Club for the upcoming school year.
