Craigmont June Picnic is this weekend
Craigmont June Picnic will be held Friday, June 26 through Sunday, June 28. The theme is We the People in honor of 250 years of American Independence **Older June Picnic shirts ONLY $5. We have some surplus shirts we would love to liquidate. We got some extra shirts from 2025 (md, xl & 3xl) 2023 (sm, md & 2xl), 2022 (size 2xl), 2021 (women's fitted sm-lg, kid's sm-xl), and from 2019 (sm, md, xl, 3xl). The Striebecks embody the spirit, dedication and heart that make our community shine. Their years of service to our community and commitment to many different organizations and committees have been appreciated and we would like to recognize them and thank them for their kindness and dedication. Please join us as we show our gratitude and honor Erle and Windy and give them the recognition they so deeply deserve at the 2026 Grand Marshal Dinner on Friday, June 26, at the Craigmont City Hall with social hour starting at 5 pm. and dinner at 6 p.m. T-shirts available small to XL $15, 2XL & 3 XL $18. NO softball due to lack of teams Chicken Bingo: Winchester Livestock 4-H will host Chicken Bingo on Main Street from 3-5 p.m. for $5 each or $20 for five. Every time we fill the board by selling 50 spots we’ll wait for Henny to do her thing on the lucky numbered square. If she poops on your number, you will win $100. Funds raised will be used to purchase a livestock scale. Parent/Child Cornhole Tournament Friday, June 26 registration 2:30 p.m., games start at 3 p.m. $10 poer team, cash prizes for top teams . Egg Toss sponsored by the Highland Class of 2027. Registration at 3:45 p.m. on Main Street - $10 per team. Competition will start at 4:30 p.m. Open to all ages Sidewalk Chalk Art 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the CHS Primeland parking lot. $2 per clock with chalk provided. Age groups will be; 0-4, 5-8. 9-12, 13-15, 16-18 and adults. Glow Run 8 a.m. registration at the Highland School, run starts at 8:30, $5 per participant. Refreshments and glow accessories included. Cornhole Tournament by the fire station. Sign-up 5 p.m., tournament starts at 5:30. $20 per team. Cash prizes, trophies, limited to 32 teams age 16 and up. Must use bags provided by the June Picnic Committee. ATV Fun Run Sunday, June 28 at City Park by City Hall. $10 per entry. Registration at 10 a.m. Payout 1st, 2nd and 3rd plus kid prizes. Sponsored by the Highland Huskies Booster Club. 3-on-3 basketball Friday, June 26 at the new outdoor court. Divisions 6th-8th grade, high school and adult. Dollar Bowling at AFD Alley 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 27 Midnight Highway will perform the Saturday night street dance starting at 7 p.m. 
Striebecks are Grand Marshals A community is only as strong as the people who build, support and inspire it. As we gather for 2026 Craigmont June Picnic, it is our privilege to honor Erle and Windy Striebeck at our grand marshal dinner, Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Craigmont City Hall. Social hour starts at 5 pm and dinner will be served at 6 pm. Erle and Windy were chosen as our 2026 grand marshals because of their unwavering dedication to making our community a better place. Erle has given countless hours throughout the years volunteering his time. To name a few, Erle lead the construction of a couple senior projects to build the Veteran’s Memorial at Craigmont City Park and the announcer’s booth, and concession stand at the Highland Football Field. He volunteered a great number of hours at Tatko Field including enlisting the National Guard for volunteer work. Erle was also one of the founding members of the WCPA event held every year at the Craigmont Firehouse. Installing the flag poles at the Craigmont City Hall, Craigmont Fire Station, Legion Post and Highland School was also a project that Erle was behind. Mr. Striebeck also played a huge part in the installation of the new benches on Main Street including the cement work. He has volunteered countless hours at the Legion Hall Post #38 with installation of new windows and sidewalks as well as installing the new Post #38 memorial sign. And that Legion Jeep that you see in the parade, Erle helped get that machine going too. We cannot thank him enough for all his hard work and dedication as his impact has been felt by residents of all ages in our community. Alongside Erle, Windy has spent countless hours giving back as well. Windy has been a June Picnic Committee member in the past, served on the Board of Directors for Tri-Co Inc. and has been a member and served as president of the American Legion Post #38 Auxiliary in the past. She has also served on the Lewiston Eagles Auxiliary #631 as a member, trustee and auditor. Windy has served on the Lewis-Clark Valley Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors and Resource Development Committee. She has taught Financial Literacy courses to K12 students, LCSC students as well as to inmates at North Idaho Correctional Institute. Windy has also been a coordinator for Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University. Both Erle and Windy are community members who step up in times of need and are volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes. Honoring the Striebecks at the 2026 grand marshals is just a small token of our immense gratitude for everything they have done for our community and beyond. Thank you Erle and Windy for your leadership, generosity and lifelong commitment to our town. You both make us all proud to be a part of this wonderful community.  Erle and Windy Striebeck
