Cottonwood Credit Union awards scholarships The Cottonwood Community Federal Credit Union has announced the recipients of the five $2000 scholarships awarded to local students this spring. The scholarship recipients are Dusty Bashaw, Grangeville High School, Madison Fredrickson, Kamiah High School, Harlee Brannan and Hannah Schwartz, Prairie High School and Rachel Sonnen, St. John Bosco Academy. While being the top of the class was not a requirement, the recipients did excel in the classroom while also being active in other school and leadership activities. Scholarship applicants were ranked based on an essay, participation in school activities, giving back to the community, their GPA, and a personal recommendation with special consideration given to how much the students gave back to their community and others around them.
