2025 Craigmont June Picnic will be held Friday, June 27 through Sunday, June 29.
The 2025 June Picnic theme is The Little Town That Could! *Grand Marshals this year will be JoAnn Remacle, Edith Leachman, Kay Osburn and Shirley Sears. JoAnn, Edith, Kay and Shirley will be honored at our 2025 Grand Marshal Dinner event on Friday, June 27, at Craigmont City Hall with social hour starting at 5 p.m. and dinner to follow at 6 p.m. Kiddie Parade: We are going to try something new this year...A KIDDIE PARADE. Please be lined up in front of the library by 9:45 am on Saturday, June 28. Contact Amy Arnzen for additional information. Parade 10 a.m. Check in opens at 8:30 a.m. at the corner of A St. & Albion St. Be ready to check in right after sign up. Little Town that Could. Sidewalk Chalk Art 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the CHS Primeland parking lot. $1 per block. Age categories judges; 0-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-15, 16-18 & over 18. Chalk provided. Cornhole Tournament Saturday, June 28 sign up 5 p.m. ($20 per team) tournament begins at 5:30 p.m. next to the fire station. Must be 16-years-of-age or older. Contact Madison Arnzen or Kate Ott for additional information June Picnic Egg Toss: The Highland Class of 2026 is sponsoring the June Picnic Egg Toss this year on Saturday, June 28 on Main Street. Registration starts at 3:45 p.m. $10 per 2-peron team with competition starting at 4:30. Open to all ages. Craigmont Legion BBQ: The annual American Legion & Craigmont Auxiliary June Picnic BBQ will start serving after the parade on Saturday, June 28. Cost is $20 per place and will feature smoked brisket with baked beans, potato salad and bottled water. Please support the legion BBQ this year to help them continue to support our veterans. They do amazing things to help our veterans, and this is one way we can support them T-shirts : SM-XL $15, 2XL-3XL $18. We want to thank all our generous T-shirt sponsors. If you want to buy a 2025 T-shirt and live out of town, we also accept credit card purchases ($1 fee/shirt). We can also ship if needed (you pay shipping fee). FFA Breakfast June 28: The Highland FFA will be hosting a June Picnic Breakfast on Saturday, June 28 at the Fire Station from 7 a.m. to around 9 p.m. featuring biscuits & gravy, sausage and bacon. Funds raised will help cover the cost of going to Nationals. Softball June 27-28: Contact Hud Horrocks for questions or to sign up 208/792-7152. Were only two teams signed up when last checked so may not happen. ATV Fun Run June 29: The Highland Husky Booster Club is hosting an ATV Fun Run on Sunday, June 29 with registration starting at 10 a.m. in the Craigmont City Park. Entry fee is $10 with payout for 1st, 2nd and 3rd plus kid prizes. Kelly Robertson Memorial Volleyball June 28: The 4th annual Kelly Robertson Memorial Beach Volleyball Tournament will be held Saturday, June 28 open to high school and adult teams at a cost of $100 per team with cash payout to the top three teams. *Minors will need to have a legal guardian sign a release form prior to playing. Rules meeting at 8:45 a.m. with the first games to start at 9 a.m. at the sand courts by Craigmont City Hall. Text or call Kaleigh Poxleitner 208/816-6648 to register.
