The annual Greencreek 4th of July Celebration gets underway with a Mass at 7 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church this Saturday, July 4 with Fr. Paul Wander as Grand Marshal. The rest of the celebration will be held at the Greencreek Hall. A change this year is that the Flag Raising has been moved to 8:30 a.m. The breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. with cost being $10 for 12 and over, $8 for 6-12 and under 6 get to eat free. Bingo will take place all day long inside the Hall. There will also be kiddie rides outside and other games and attractions for the youngsters such as a bouncy house. Street sports will be held in the lawn to the west of the Hall starting at noon. Also starting at noon the Altar Society will begin serving hamburgers and homemade pies. The auction will start after the streets sports finish up at about 1 p.m. There will be a beergarden and concessions. This will also be the 250th birthday of the United States of America. |
