Two local 4-Hers elected to state offices
Fourteen Idaho County 4-H members represented the county at the 2026 Idaho 4-H State Teen Association (STAC) Conference at the University of Idaho, joining teens from across the state for several days of leadership development, service projects, workshops, and statewide officer elections.
The conference concluded with two Idaho County delegates being elected to statewide leadership positions.
Halee Rowland was elected 2026-27 Idaho 4-H State Teen Association President, the highest youth leadership office in Idaho 4-H. Rowland previously served as the 2026 Communications Director and has represented Idaho at numerous state and national leadership events, including National 4-H Congress and National Ignite by 4-H. As State President, she will lead the State Teen Association Executive Committee, represent Idaho 4-H at statewide and national events, and help guide leadership opportunities for teens across the state during the coming year.
Mikayla Rowland was elected Northern District Representative. In her new role, she will serve on the State Teen Association Steering Committee, represent youth from northern Idaho, and assist in planning future state leadership conferences and activities.
The Idaho 4-H State Teen Association Conference provides members with opportunities to build leadership skills, develop lifelong friendships, and prepare to become future leaders in their communities. The election of Halee and Mikayla highlights the strength of Idaho County’s 4-H program and its tradition of developing youth leaders who are ready to serve at the state level.
