Local 4-Hers attend Idaho 4-H State Teen Association Convention
Seven local teens recently took part in the
Idaho 4-H State Teen Association Convention (STAC), a multi-day event
held on the University of Idaho campus in Moscow that brings together
youth from across the state to learn, lead, and connect. Representing Idaho County and the Greencreek Active Workers Club were Kane McIntire, and Brooke Bennett. The Cottonwood Saddliers and Livestock 4-H Club sent Dylan Klapprich, Henry and Lillianne Lustig, and sisters Halee and Mikayla Rowland. These teens spent four packed days attending hands-on workshops, listening to inspiring speakers, exploring college and career opportunities, and networking with fellow 4-H members. Highlights included leadership training, campus tours, a formal banquet, and the ever-popular STAC dance and lip sync battle. Delegates also participated in service learning projects and helped elect the 2025–2026 State Teen Association Officer Team. “It was a great chance to step out of our comfort zones, meet new people, and grow as leaders,” said Halee Rowland, a member of the STAC Steering Committee. Rowland served as the Northern District Representative on the youth leadership committee that planned the convention. “STAC is educational, fun, and is often a life-changing experience for so many teens. It was an honor to be selected to help with the planning process and I am very excited to serve as a state 4-H officer this year.” The Greencreek Active Workers and Cottonwood Saddliers 4-H clubs are proud of these delegates and excited to see how they bring what they learned back to their clubs and communities.
