Greencreek Celebration in pictures  Some of the breakfast crowd inside the hall.  Adam Frosmann again ran the bingo with lots of help from some young callers.  A canopy was set up for the auctioneers and we're sure they appreciated it as the heaviest rain of the day came as the auction started. From left are Don Schumacher, auctioneer John Schumacher and Aaron Hinkelman.  Youngsters enjoy the bouncy castle.  The barrel train is always popular with the youngsters. When Dale Stubbers first fired up the lawn tractor that pulls it there was a rush of youngsters over to be the first to get a ride.  The always popular kiddie-car merry go round that has to be close to 60 years and running.  The little merry go round was popular with the little tykes.  A couple of youngsters try out the sumo suits. The fight was over once one of them fell down as they were like a turtle on their back and needed help to get back up again.  Street sports started in a light sprinkle with the youngest runners starting things.  The second youngest group of racers near the finish line.  The over 25 foot race. They had to go down to the finish line and then turn and go back to the start.  The young ladies at left appeared about to finish first when they crashed in the 3-legged race.  The start of the wheelbarrow race.  The youngster in the red hoodie at front unfortunately had his egg break on the very first toss.  This young man let out a scream as his egg broke when he caught it.  This young lady's egg exploded on her.  The young man in the white t-shirt comes up for air after finishing off his chunk of watermelon in the watermelon eating contest.  The middle group in the watermelon eating contest. Madison Duman, in the blue print shirt wound up winning.  A pair of previous winners go it at as Sebastian Nuxoll and his father Eric near the finish. Eric, a multi-year winner, came out on top again. |
