To the Library and Beyond Speaking of giveaways we’ll be awarding two Lewiston Roundup Rodeo passes at the August 11th Concert in the Park. The first two people at the concert to openor renew their library patronage/borrower subscription will win the passes. Each pass is good for two adult and two youth admissions. We thank the Lewiston Roundup Association for this generous donation. The picnic in the park concert event starts at 6:30 pm with music to begin at 7 pm. Bring your family’s picnic dinner, picnic blanket and lawn chairs. Enjoy by-donation desserts and beverages provided by the library and band. Help spread the word about this popular event. Let’s fill the park with people of all ages enjoying the sounds of live band music! Is exploring a new place on your mind? How about visiting the Sierra Mountains in California through the pages of The High Sierra, a book in the Time-Life series of American wilderness areas. Joan’s review highlights that this book contains a plethora of photos, maps and charts along with descriptions of the area’s geology, five different habitat zones, and its plants and animals. Come check it out and enjoy a fresh perspective into our vastly interesting country. We thank our new book borrowers who have joined the library recently as well as our familiar patrons for renewing their borrowing privileges. Annual cost is $20 for an entire household. Up to twenty books can be checked out at a time with renewals easily accommodated with a quick visit or phone call. Reminder – only a few days left to view the military uniform display at the library. The exhibit ends July 31st.
