Summer projects at Prairie Schools
A
couple of summer projects at Prairie Schools include resurfacing the
parking lots and streets at the Elementary School and repainting and
installing new windows at the high school. Below are photos shared by superintendent Jon Rehder. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
On Thursday, July 31st the City of Cottonwood and local highway district crews spread BST on the elementary parking lot, entrance to the football field and the back side of the school. They completed the entire project in less than 2 hours. It was very impressive. The Cottonwood School District would like the entire crew for their hard work and attention to detail. The window project is on track to be completed by Friday, August 15th. All windows are installed except the 2 large gridded windows on both the east and west side of the building. A Touch of Glass is waiting on the glass for those windows. It will take them about 3 days to complete those windows. The upgrade was needed as every seal in every window was broken. Rick Forsmann and Sydney Shears painted the entire building in early June prior to window installation so they didn't have to tape as much off. They did a great job! Photos by Jon Rehder. |
