To the Library and Beyond
Whew! The Fair is over, football games have begun and the heat has left.
Looking forward to rain! At the library we're processing new books. Fall story hour on Tuesdays from 10-11 is bringing in kids to enjoy hearing stories read and doing activities from craft projects to dancing, laughing and generally having a good time at the library.
Did you know we have board games to play in the library and some that can be checked out? Maybe one might be handy for this holiday weekend.
New books include one on beginning beekeeping and a local history title,  Merciless Eden by Doug Tims which is about the history of the Salmon River country with particular interest in the Campbell's Ferry area of the river.  This book is very well researched and incorporates national events and economic situations that brought rugged people to the river and why they went away. The author will be presenting a lecture in October in the Monastery about the other area river he well knows, the Selway.
Keep on reading!
