Apple Harvest Party Sept. 11 at Orofino
The Orofino Farmers Market wraps up the 2025 market season with our Second Annual Apple Harvest Party & Free Community Cider Press.  Clearwater County, and our surrounding communities, are invited join in the free, family-friendly festivities. Groove to live country and blues music, press your very own cider, remember and honor the fallen of 9/11, shop local, and enjoy a special meal or snack with friends and family - all while being part of, and giving back to, our vibrant community.
On Thursday, September 11, the Orofino Farmers Market (OFM) will shift locations from the Orofino City Park into the downtown area on College Avenue, between Johnson and A street, for our season finale - the Second Annual Apple Harvest Party & Free Community Cider Press.  The event will start at this year’s normal Farmers Market time of 4:30PM and extend an extra hour, ending at 7:30PM. At 6:00PM, we will also have a special 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony.
Bring your own apples or buy some from Wilson Banner Ranch, and other participating vendors, to press your very own cider alongside our friends and sponsor Nightforce Optics. Cider containers will be provided and Nighforce will also be giving away an exclusive 9/11 co-branded canvas tote, while supplies last, to carry your cider and market goodies. Missing Parts will join us from Idaho County to entertain us with acoustic country, blues, and blazin’ harmonica music. In addition to the local downtown restaurants, specialty food vendors Mariana’s Tamales, Bob’s Caribbean BBQ, Hot Box Pizza Idaho, Tabby’s Bubble Waffles & Ice Cream, and Winnie’s Coffee will, again, be joining us. There will also be an assortment of vendor booths to shop, with artisan craft items, fresh local produce, baked goods, and sweet treats. Come say “farewell and see you next year” to your favorite OFM vendors. Not ready to say good-bye to your favorite OFM vendor just yet? Check out RekoHub on our website at www.orofinofarmersmarket.org/reko-hub to find and shop with participating OFM vendors year-round.
At 6:00PM, our local first responders will help lead our 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony in a siren salute and moment of silence, to honor the fallen of 9/11 (both 9.11.2024 in Cardiff Idaho and 9.11.2001 in New York City, NY). To give back to and support our community, OFM will also be accepting donations during the Remembrance Ceremony to support local veteran-affiliated resources and services.
The Orofino Farmers Market is a volunteer-led nonprofit powered by passionate locals who care deeply about food, farming, and this town we call home.
