For young children come find six Little Blue Truck adventure books; three are board-books for the youngest readers. We have lots of other fiction and non-fiction for young, Juvenile, and youth readers as well. For classic TV buffs, we now have the complete Seinfeld series on DVD. Also Andy Griffith shows in two boxed sets. Lots of movies have also been added. Let us help you find some entertainment. And be sure to visit the table of interesting $1-dollar books. New titles are added frequently. Most are in nearly new condition. We simply don’t have shelf space to keep them – creating this opportunity for volumes of reading enjoyment at enviable prices. Joan has reviewed the 1997 book, Best of the West, by Bill O’Neal. “For lovers of western history, this is a fascinating book!” In this book, Mr. O’Neal has collected many essays about the U.S. western frontier. The author includes information about famous western lawmen, outlaws, adventurers, and leaders. He included the wildest frontier towns, famous forts, and natural wonders. Mr. O’Neal’s collection also includes many famous frontier events including shootouts, battles and robberies or hold-ups. He included essays about inventions that helped tame the west. Finally, he has added information about western artists, writers, and photographers. There are many great historical photos in this book. Monday 22 September is the First Day Of Autumn. The volunteers who manage and operate Prairie Community Library are like a family that communicates about daily accomplishments and challenges. An internal conversation continually occurs among volunteers about the organization’s direction and priorities. Send your volunteer message to cottonwoodlib@gmail.com. “Volunteering is at the very core of being human.” Please recommend improvements to the Library’s direction, priorities and customer service.
