Museum to present 3 Echo Awards
The Historical Museum at St. Gertrude will present three Echo Awards on Saturday, October 4 at 1:00 p.m. in the monastery chapel at the Center for Benedictine Life. This new award will honor outstanding contributions in the preservation of Idaho County history. The 2025 honorees are: Debra Clark of Cottonwood, Eldene Wasem of Grangeville, and the Upper Clearwater River Retired Teachers Association. The award name, Echo, honors both the power of history to reverberate across generations and the legacy of the Sisters of St. Gertrude, who once published a historical newsletter by the same name. Just as an echo carries a voice forward, the sisters' work preserved the stories of Idaho County for today's generation. This award celebrates those who continue that tradition — publicly amplifying history so it is not forgotten. Friends and family of the honorees are invited to both the ceremony and reception that follows. ![]() The Echo award that will be presented by the Historical Museum to 2 individuals and 1 association on Oct. 4. |
