Both the Prairie and St. John Bosco varsity volleyball teams will be at the Pea & Lentil Tournament at Genesee on Saturday, Oct. 3.
Action in the tournament starts at 8 a.m. and runs most of the day.
Prairie is in Pool A and will play in the Main gym along with Genesee, Salmon River and Wallace. Prairie opens against Genesee at 8 a.m. They will play again at about 11 against Wallace and then at about 1 against Salmon River.
St. John Bosco is in Pool B and will play in the Auxiliary gym along with Pomeroy, Grangeville and Kamiah. Bosco will open against Kamiah at about 9 a.m. They will play again right away at about 10 against Pomeroy and then not until about 1 against Grangeville.
The top two teams in each pool will start play at about 2 p.m. in the Main gym with A1 vs. B2 followed by B1 vs. A2 at about 3. The winners will play at about 4 for the championship.
The third and fourth place teams in each pool will be in the consolation bracket in the Auxiliary gym. A3 will play B4 at about 2 p.m. followed by B3 vs. A4 at about 3. The winners will then play for the consolation title at about 4 p.m.
Tickets for the tournament are $8 for adults and $6 for children.
