Wednesday, Sept. 30 was the final day that Walco served as the sanitation service for Cottonwood. Simmons Sanitation takes over as of Oct. 1. As a result, after trash pickup Wednesday, Walco will likely start picking up their green trash bins. Between this Wednesday and next Wednesday you should be getting a Simmons trash bin. Simmons has reported that they will have the trash bins indexed so that they know which bin goes with which home or business. So, no, your trash bin has not been stolen, it is just being swapped out for one from a different sanitation service. Simmons will still be doing weekly pickups on Wednesday mornings in Cottonwood. |
