'Noon on Main' to bring lunch to downtown Cottonwood
New soup-and-sandwich counter offers one dish a day, to-go orders, and a place to gather
A new lunch spot is coming to Main Street. Noon on Main, a soup-and-sandwich counter in the Mini Mall, will open soon, with a grand opening date to be announced.
The concept is simple: do one thing, and do it right. Each day, the shop serves a single homemade soup and sandwich, built from scratch. An occasional specialty salad will make an appearance for those craving something crisp. There's no menu to puzzle over. Customers show up, find out what's cooking, and enjoy it.
Noon on Main will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Orders are available to go for workers on a short lunch break or anyone who wants to take a hot meal home. A small seating area is available for those who would rather stay and eat.
The shop also plans to open its doors to local groups. Book clubs and small business meetings will have the opportunity to gather there, giving the community another place to meet over a warm bowl of soup.  
Noon on Main is locally run, and customers may spot familiar faces behind the counter from time to time as friends and neighbors pitch in. It's Cottonwood serving Cottonwood.
Organizers say they're betting the town is hungry for comfort food that tastes like someone cared while making it. In an age of endless options, one good dish a day may be just what Cottonwood ordered.
