Shears finishes first at Genesee meet Sydney Shears finished in first place in the girls race at the inaugural Genesee Cow Creek Invitational Cross Country Meet Tuesday, Oct. 14. Her time was 21:33. Evelyn Gehring finished 6th in 23:31. Callie Remacle was 17th in 27:40. Aubree Riener was 19th in 28:16. Lillianne Lustig was 21st in 29:28. Bella Musick was 26th in 35:36. As a team the girls placed 2nd behind Garfield-Palouse with 40 points to 37 for Gar-Pal. In the boys race Chase VonBargen was Prairie’s top finisher in 7th place in 19:34. Matthew Jones was 16th in 20:37. Phineas Fitch was 32nd in 22:55. Gabe DeCaria was 41st in 24:51. Landon Riener was 42nd in 25:26. Kade Hansen was 44th in 25:53.
