Oktoberfest raises over $33,000 to go toward new CT scanner
The St. Mary’s Health Foundation’s
inaugural Oktoberfest fundraiser was a resounding success, raising more
than $33,000 in a single evening to support the purchase of a new CT
scanner for St. Mary’s Health. This year’s event focused on a critical upgrade to the hospital’s imaging capabilities. The current CT scanner plays a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients, especially in emergency situations. The new scanner, estimated to cost $500,000, will provide faster, more accurate imaging for trauma, stroke, and cardiac patients. It will also reduce radiation exposure and improve diagnostic precision. “The Foundation has committed to raising $125,000 toward the total cost of the new CT scanner,” said Brynn Knudson, Foundation Development Director. “Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we made a tremendous impact at Oktoberfest alone. Every dollar raised is an investment in life-saving technology and better outcomes for our patients.” The success of the event would not have been possible without the outstanding involvement and support of the St. Mary’s Health Foundation Board, whose dedication, generosity, and hands-on efforts helped bring the fundraiser to life. Their commitment to advancing healthcare in our region continues to make a lasting difference. For a rural hospital like St. Mary’s, this upgrade represents more than just new equipment—it’s a leap forward in emergency care and a testament to the power of community support.“We are deeply grateful for everyone who contributed,” Knudson added. “Your support helps us build a healthier, safer future for everyone who calls this region home.” To learn more about the CT scanner campaign or to make a donation, please visit smh-cvh.org/foundations, or contact Brynn Knudson, Foundation Development Director, at(208) 476-8020 or via email at brynn.knudson@kh.org. |
