Pirates compete at State Meet
Prairie competed at the State Cross Country Meet held at Lewiston Saturday, Nov. 1 at the LCSC course near the new high school.
Sydney Shears was Prairie’s top finisher as she placed 23rd while again breaking her own school record with a time of 20:43.76. She finished 3 positions short of earning a state medal.
Evelyn Gehring was 37th and broke 22 minutes for the first time ever as she had a time of 21:59.57.
Ella McLeod was 50th in 23:16.53, also a personal best.
Aubree Riener was 58th in 23:52.70, a personal best.
Callie Remacle was 61st in 25:54.99.
Lillianne Lustig was 64th in 26:52.19, a personal best.
Bella Musick was 67th in 28:46.31.
As a team the girls finished in 8th place just 1 point out of 7th.
For the boys Chase VonBargen was the top finisher in 52nd with a time of 18:10.1 while Phineas Fitch was 91st in 20:15.5.
For Shears, Remacle and VonBargen it was their final race for Prairie Cross Country.
