21 turn out for Prairie girls basketball There are 21 girls turned out for the Prairie girls basketball team this season. They are headed by 4 returning senior starters: Kylie Schumacher, Sage Elven, Sydney Shears and Hailey Hanson. Juniors on the team are Erica Schlader, Halee Rowland, Lillian Rehder, Kennedy Riener and Audrey Warren. Sophomores are Reagan Brannan, Faith Cash, Beka Schumacher, Blake Uhlenkott, Zoey Behler, Kenly Forsmann, Allie Rambo and Mia Anderson. Anderson probably won’t play due to a knee injury suffered during volleyball season. Freshmen are Aubree Riener, Bekah Shears, Tori Shears and Capri Hagen. They have a new coaching staff this season as Teel Bruner takes over as head coach while Jamie Scheffler will be the assistant coach. Their first action of the season will be a Jamboree at Grangeville this Thursday, Nov. 13. The schedule for Prairie will be JV vs. St. John Bosco at 4:45 p.m.; JV vs. Grangeville at 5:30; varsity vs. Nezperce at 7:15 and varsity vs. Grangeville at 8 p.m.  Sydney Shears goes for a lay-up.
